Healthy Homeschoolers Schedule

Join our new 8 week session for land fitness and swim lessons, back to back

 WHO

Grades K-12; Participants must be 5 by 9/1/2017

WHAT

Join us on Wednesdays during the school year for homeschool open gym and swim! The program will be an 8 week session with land fitness the first hour and a 40 minute swim lesson to follow. Participants will practice skills in group sports, fitness classes, health and nutrition, followed by swim lessons.  We have the fitness curriculum you’re looking for! Join our team of American Red Cross certified Life Guards and Water Safety Instructors to take your child's swimming skills to the next level.

WHEN

       Wednesdays 10:00 am - 12:00 pm (arrive around 9:45).   FREE TRIAL DAY-Wednesday, January 17th. Stop in and see what it's all about at no charge. Enjoy an hour of land fitness and wear/bring your suits for an hour of splash around fun in the state-of-the-art Aquatics Center.  Groups will begin in the Erie Rm.

       Registration week is January 17-22.  No Gym & Swim will take place during this time. Sign up early on the trial day, January 17th, to reserve your spot!

       First official class begins Wednesday, January 24th at 10:00am - 12:00 noon. Last class will be March 14th.

HOW MUCH

Registration for this program will be the week of January 17th.  Those participating in the free trial day may join that day! Drop in fees do not apply.

If paying in 2 installments, the first payment is due at time of registration for the first 4 weeks; the second payment is due by February 14th for the remaining 4 weeks.

Parents/Guardians with active monthly and annual passes may also use facility during this time. Parents tending to younger siblings are welcome to stay in the Erie Room or utilize the Kids' Castle during the open gym. All Kids' Castle fees and terms apply.

SWIM LESSON INFORMATION

WHAT?

Following the first hour of land fitness program, participants will change and head to the pool for their 40 minute swim lesson. At the time of registration, please fill out the questionnaire so that we place you child in the appropriate level.

WHEN?

Beginning at 11:15 am, the swim lesson session will start (groups may slightly stagger).  Participants may wear their suits under their clothes or change in the locker rooms (15 minute change time provided).

 SWIM LESSON ABILITY QUESTIONNAIRE

**Parents must be in the Aquatics Center by 11:45am after each swim lesson for prompt pick up.

HOW DO I ENROLL?

Enroll during the registration week. Parents/guardians will need to fill out the swim lesson ability sheet to assist in-group placement and submit to Kathy Burt. You will be notified and given an activity placement card via mail or email. Submit (or mention) the placement card during the time of enrollment. Participants will need to be in suits and ready to enter the pool at their assigned time on those Wednesdays.
