FAQ’s-Natatorium Phase 1

Updated May 27, 2020

Q) What is the phased in plan?

A) In an effort to monitor attendance during the opening weeks and recall staff, we are carefully reviewing options to re-open all areas/programs. The following sections or programs are scheduled at this time:

  • May 26th – upper fitness, track lanes 1 & 4, fitness circuit, lower fitness (basketball court repurposed with equipment). Locker rooms and rest rooms in these areas. Ages 16 and older please.
  • June 1st – Personal Training
  • June 2nd –Lap, therapy and spa will be open with requirements for fitness swim only.
  • June 8th – Modified land group fitness schedule

All timeframes are subject to change to best serve member needs and remain in compliance with the Health Department. All schedules and regulations per section of the facility will be provided on updated handouts when available.

Q) I have a child under 16, what are my options with this pass?

A) An announcement will be made the first week of June regarding youth programs and options. We encourage you to wait till this time for all information. We can address a request to “hold” a youth pass at that time, if preferred.

Q) How is bank drafting impacted by this closure?

A) The April and May billing was halted and contract time was paused. Bank drafting will resume June 28th  and contract time was re-instated May 26th.   All time associated with the facility closure is added back on to the pass, therefore contracts will pick up to honor the 12-month commitment.

Q) I paid in full, what happens to my contract?

A) The facility was closed from March 16-May 25, therefore, this time has been added on to your pass.

Q) Can I hold or cancel my (or a household members) membership?

A) Standard contract language provides proof of moving 25+ miles away or supply medical documentation for review.

However, for all other requests associated with your membership status (ie: covid related): A cancellation/hold form has been created and can be emailed to you or is available at the front desk.  Please indicate your request and details associated with this request. Documentation preferred. It will be reviewed and someone will contact you. A courtesy 3 month hold may be an option.

Please know, we are providing the best and safest service possible per the Governor’s orders. All mandates and extra precautionary protocols are being applied.

Q) The section of the facility I prefer to use is currently unavailable, what do you recommend?

We encourage our members to adapt to equipment and sections of the facility that are available to them. Please consider a free orientation, a tour or personal training session to help you adjust.

Q) What cleaning products and protocols are in place?

A) Among many cleaning and disinfectant products used, the primary one that will be used by staff is Betco pH7Q spray bottle.

“A multi-purpose, germicidal detergent and deodorant that disinfects, cleans and deodorizes in one labor- saving step. Recommended for use in hospitals, nursing homes, schools/colleges, commercial and industrial institutions. Effective against antibiotic resistant strains, VRE and MRSA.” Cleaning protocols for pH7Q reference human coronavirus, influenza virus type A, HIV-1 (AIDS), Hepatitis A & B, etc.

Staff will rotate the facility continuously cleaning “high touch” areas (door handles, counter tops, etc) and cleaning fitness equipment. Reminder: members are required to wipe equipment with Purell gym wipes after each use. Cleaning crews have been directed on new protocols and deep cleaning at close of business.

Q) Are you offering a courtesy hour for high risk populations?

A) Yes! Daily from 1:00-2:00pm. We encourage all members who are not high risk to be mindful and avoid this time frame if their schedule permits.
